22- year-old Henry Steinway, familiarly known as RL Grime, is celebrating 100,000 fans on Facebook with a special treat to say thank you. Previously kept under wraps, Grime has offered to share one of his live-set staples with fans, an edit he dubs “Favelas.” The tune pits an Aquadrop tune against a Nadastrom one, kicking off with vocals from a familiar late 80s R&B track before molding into an array of high pitched, high frequency synthesizers and a quickening pace that makes room for a filthy drop. Featuring various stylistic influences, RL Grime is all over the place with this edit, proving his uncanny ability to bring trap music into the forefront of our music scene by daring to do something a little different with the genre.
