Ultra Music Festival announces phase one of 2014 lineup, live acts triumph
After taking 2013 by storm with back-to-back weekends for a festival that totaled 6 days, Ultra Music Festival returns to Miami and looks to pack the punch into one weekend. And the first phase of the 2014 seems to do just that. With headliners ranging from Avicii, Armin van Buuren, and Afrojack to Hardwell, Steve Angello, and Tiësto — the traditional DJ set is given its due respect, but the live acts steal the spotlight. To be performing live are the likes of Chase & Status, MGMT, and what seems to be a new concept from Eric Prydz, Holo. Then comes the likes of Gesaffelstein, Example, and genre benders Empire of the Sun, M.I.A., and Pusha T.
