Avicii, Calvin Harris, Zedd land on Forbes '30 Under 30'
Shining the spotlight on young and rising stars across fifteen industries annually, Forbes has named a total of 450 prodigies from finance to tech, from law to food for their latest 30 Under 30 selections. This year’s music category is championed by Bruno Mars, but placing in a close second is Avicii, the “household name” and “six-figures-per-gig” who produced one of the year’s biggest hits and beat everyone from Lady Gaga to Justin Bieber to the two-hole.
Following relative titans such as Drake and Miley Cyrus, Calvin Harris comes slotted. This, however, to no surprise. The dance music poster boy has practically earned himself a Mr. Forbes nickname this year after landing on any of the magazine’s lists that’d have him. Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taylor Swift are few of the big-names that round out the list, but it comes to a close with one Zedd. Forbes notes the Germany-bred artist as one of the fast-rising producers in pop and hottest DJs in dance music.
