Where 2013 beckoned remix duties for Felix Cartal and Diplo alike, his first original cut for several months beckons the promising road ahead for this budding low-end advocate. Donning a docile and bass favouring take on the sound of trap, the stripped back and somewhat harrowing undertones of “Heart” show CRNKN at a peak in his unorthodox yet ultimately accomplished sound. With pop music getting weirder by the month, this could be the first of positive signs of ascension from the LA-based electronic dance prospect for 2014.
