It’s Tuesday: a bit better than Monday, but still a hectic point of the week where I firmly believe in the benefits of taking a step back, taking in a deep breath and unwinding a little. Soulful producer and DJ Husky provides us with a perfect tune for us to enjoy the moment. The Detroit native transforms synthpop group Art of Noise’s early-mid 80’s hit “Moments in Love” into a modern, chill-out piece of ear candy. Using the harmonic progressions of the original, Husky saturates the backbone melodies for a fuller synth composition. Even adding more complex drum work of 8o8 cymbals and quick, offbeat fills, Husky manages to savor the sensual calmness of the original piece.
