MAKJ announces first North American headlining tour
Mackenzie Johnson, better known as progressive house prodigy MAKJ, is riding a massive wave into 2014. The Los Angeles-based producer is coming off of an immensely successful year in 2013, and he does not seem to be cooling off any time soon. Having just completed a sold-out tour across Europe, MAKJ is keeping the energy high, having announced his first North American headlining tour.
Venturing far and wide across the US and Canada, the “Peyote Tour” will be stopping at an assortment of different clubs, venues, and festivals. The “Peyote Tour” is aptly named after MAKJ’s forthcoming single by the same name, slated to be released in April. Tour stops include everywhere from Coachella to Canada’s Northern Lights festival, with swanky Vegas clubs like XS and Surrender and iconic venues like New York’s Webster Hall sprinkled in between.
Tickets for the tour don’t officially go on sale until Monday, January 27th at 10 am, however pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase the morning of Friday, January 24th at 10 am. Pre-sale ticket holders will also automatically be entered into a drawing to meet MAKJ before certain show dates.
With a incredibly successful year in his rear-view, the promise of 2014 seems bright and exciting for MAKJ. If this year follows the same suit as his break-out year in 2013, you can expect MAKJ to raise the bar even higher, beginning with the Peyote Tour.
