On the other side of the industrious coin and reassuringly removed from the world of twerk-fandom, British indie dance maverick Louis La Roche proved a man capable of charging any musical asset with his vintage club charm. Where the year just passed had him remixing everyone from MJ to Crystal Bats, the aforementioned pop reprobate is the next unsuspecting artist to go under the knife of Bret Ewel’s studio suegery. His take is docile, grooving slowly and building with warm melodic stamina whilst embracing Cyrus’s topline with seaming ease. When all is said and done, Ewel’s retro sensibilities offers a dignified extension of “Adore You,” proving just how simple quality dance intervention can be when placed in the right hands.
