The latest release off of Fool’s Gold’s Clubhouse series hails from across the pond, where the funk is oh so fresh. UK duo, NAPT join fellow native, Roska for one of the most masterfully compatible and harmonious collabs of this variety. The London threesome dish out a pair of funky party house gems where rhythm and percussion rule. The first, “Mr Oscar” utilizes a damp, punchy stab synth, transitioning into a melodic bongo progression for dynamic contrast. Slightly shifting moods, “Roar” focuses around a manipulated vocal syllable atop an impressively groovy sequence of claps, bright ride bells and splashy high-hats. NAPT and Roska have made a statement with this release, and Fool’s Gold wants to make sure the US takes notice… for free.
