Steve Aoki asks fans to help young musician attend production school
Daniel “DJ Gooddan21” Amaya did not have an easy life growing up. He was born with the genetic disorder Osteogeneses Imperfecta, a disease that left his bones highly sensitive and easily broken. Until now, Amaya has broken his bones more than three hundred times and has had 11 surgeries, leaving him permanently bound to a wheelchair. Despite his unfortunate condition, Daniel’s dream is to attend Icon Collective, a digital music production school based in LA that teaches music theory and recording and mixing techniques.
Steve Aoki has stepped in to ask the dance music community for its support in helping Daniel raise enough tuition funds. Daniel pledges that in return, once he learns the tricks of the trade and becomes a world-famous DJ/producer, he will “donate and do charity work for the foundation that helps patients with my same bone condition.”
He has one year to raise $50,000, and so far has only raised a scant $5. If you are interested in helping his cause, click here.
