While it has been less than a month since ATB released his ninth studio album Contact, a remix package for lead single “Face to Face” has already hit Beatport with edits from Junkx, Rudee, and Andre himself. Dubbed “ATB’s Anthem Version,” the producer’s own edit of the tune goes for a cleaner progressive house sound than the original, ditching the guitar-led intro and muting the syncopated bass breaks that first flanked Stanfour’s vocals. Though a kick drum has replaced the synth of ATB anthems past, a sentimentality in both lyric and soundscape demonstrates that label or no label, trance is a permanent state of mind for this legend.
