DA Premiere: Markus Schulz – Reloaded
Hide your unicorns. Markus Schulz is nearing the release of Scream 2, his newest studio album that has the Unicorn Slayer sparing no mercy in spearheading the juxtaposition of aggressive and melodic trance stylings. When Markus and Armada unleash the sequel to 2012’s Scream on February 21st, fans will be welcomed into the journey that is the full-length album immediately upon hitting play on track one.
“Reloaded” is more than just ‘track one,’ however, it’s an intentional grand introduction. Markus himself talks of the record in such regard, telling Dancing Astronaut last month;
“The whole song is me imagining the opening of one of my sets.”
Its cinematic nature serves as the proper groundwork for the remaining 16 tracks that follow, setting the album’s tone as he imaged it would for his live shows.
It’s safe to say Schulz will see his vision for “Reloaded” come full circle in celebrating the album’s completion, likely to be on display as he laps North America for release parties. Los Angeles, Miami, and New York will receive such intro treatment, highlighted by an open-to-close, all-night set at Pacha NYC this Saturday that could see hours flirting with double digits. Rabbit hole, anyone?
