As part of BBC Radio 1’s “Access All Areas” initiative, Diplo opened up a dropbox for artist submissions, and the Mad Decent man himself hand selected the finest of the bunch to display on his weekly podcast. With Diplo at the helm, the mix features just about what you would expect of the selection, with some funky unreleased original tracks to supplement the trap remixes littered throughout the radio show. While a Diplo mix without any Diplo material may seem disappointing on the surface, the eclectic selection of unheard tunes provided by one of electronic music’s biggest stars will battle your sorrows away. While the mix serves more as a playlist than a technically-concerned performance, the blending of the unfamiliar begs for praise to the the weekly radio show.
