While thumping 808s and mean bass don’t usually associate with the flute, Thomas Newson and New World Sound‘s “Flute” drew two of France’s most exciting young trap DJs to try their hand at remixing the track. Tomsize and Simeon have begun to establish a name for themselves in the urban electronic scene, and the effort has not gone unnoticed, as Spinnin’ Records has co-signed the pair’s take on the original to the official Flute (Remixes) project. With the upcoming festival season in mind, the duo add big room inspired synths to the background to increase the track’s presence, and carefully retune the song’s face to serve a harder-hitting purpose.
