After a banner year in 2013 which saw the duo gain support from dance music’s biggest names, the eclectic duo’s newest release holds nothing back.
Premiered at Alexandra Palace during the 50th episode of Group Therapy Radio, “Thundercat” uses a delicate piano melody to create tension before a progressing plateau provides the track’s calling card. “That Was Easy” brings a much darker approach, as the duo’s melodic tendencies are left alone in favor of a gritty climax. Both tracks showcase the duo’s production prowess and are further evidence that they’re one of the most diverse names to have graced Anjunabeats’ illustrious discography.
