Budding Dutch and Australian talents Dem Slackers and Tigerlily have collaborated for their bootleg rendition of Rihanna’s “Jump.” Multiple layers bring a complexity to the remix: Samples of Ginuwine’s original, “Pony,” serve as a well-loved and easily recognizable base as the two producers paint another heavy coat of bouncing deep house and bass influenced beats over Rihanna’s sultry chorus lines. In reference to the inspiration behind taking on “Jump” as their latest collaboration, Dem Slackers explained: “After the amazing response from our John Legend rework, Tigerlily and myself joined forces to create bootleg number two. The transition from hip-hop/R&B to dance really works for this song and let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to ride Rihanna’s pony?”
