Skrillex, Gesaffelstein, M83 and more join the ‘Divergent’ soundtrack
Divergent, a novel-based science-fiction action adventure, will follow the journey of a young woman in a Hunger Games-inspired post-apocalyptic society. Previously, the impending film revealed plans to invite Zedd and Ellie Goulding to the silver screen with their respective “Find You” and recent Halcyon releases, but with the announcement of their entire soundtrack it looks like they won’t be the only familiar names to look out for. The Divergent soundtrack will showcase never-before-heard originals from M83, an A$AP Rocky and Gesaffelstein collaboration, an ODESZA remix of Pretty Lights, and the Skrillex and KillaGraham collaboration “STRANGER.”
In support of the film’s upcoming release, the Halcyon songbird has released the I See Monstas‘ remix of her own “Hanging On,” another previously unreleased Divergent track. Besides contributing several of her songs to the official movie soundtrack, Ellie’s melodic vocals will be featured as the main character Tris’ ‘musical voice.’
