If you’ve listened to BBC in the past few weeks, chances are you’ve heard a siren-esque Canadian stunning the airwaves. The songstress was Kiesza, and the track her debut outing on a label also making its debut – both are striking gold. “Hideaway” came out on new New York label Lokal Legend a few weeks ago and is keeping the buzz alive with its music video, a single continuous shot that follows the red-shoed singer as she dances down the blocks of Brooklyn to an infectious phat house beat. As refreshing as it is oddly retro, the video only further endears the new talent to the industry she is poised to shake to its very foundation.
