The Chainsmokers top Billboard’s dance chart with ‘Selfie’

The Chainsmokers hashtag-gone-smash hit “Selfie” has soared all they way to the top of Billboard’s dance chart. The New York based DJ duo emerged onto the mainstream radar after years behind the decks, but their breakthrough hit took only a mere five weeks to land at the chart’s top spot, the fastest record to do so since Lady Gaga’s “Applause.” In claiming Billboard’s top spot of dance, The Chainsmokers dethrone Avicii, knocking last week’s number one “Hey Brother” to this week’s runner-up.
