The world may have been spoiled for choice where the emerging dominance of international house music is concerned, but the rise of the French Express and its international talent pool has surely been one of its more refreshing shifts. Isaac Tichauer has been riding that wave with considerable ease to date, rejoining the label with a brand new original cut in celebration of his deep and docile hold on the heart strings of modern house music. Where remix duties for Lancelot’s “Givin It Up” on Anjunadeep showed the more energetic temperments of his practiced studio guise, “Changes” holds a considerable middle ground in the current cultural spike. In a match of gently flowing melodic progressions and just enough of a backbone to make it accessible to the club floor, Tichauer gives the more ambient sound waves an immediately infectious anthem like very little else on the market right now. If the French Express is out to show the world where house music needs to be in 2014, Isaac Tichauer emerges as a more pivotal piece of the puzzle than anyone could have anticipated.
