Macromism – Crazy EP
It’s time to get acquainted with one of the fastest rising names in European techno today. Fresh off the release of their debut album Superheroes on Christian Smith‘s seminal Tronic imprint, Italian duo Macromism have made their SCI+TEC debut this week with a rock-solid three-track outing.
Crazy’s title track is a trademark groover with a steady rolling bass below a foreboding vocal quote and restrained percussion, while “Rot” is slightly more subterranean in approach with its warehouse-ready bassline and simmering background synths. The EP concludes with “Deadly Intent,” a slow-building burner buoyed by its varied pitch-dancing elements that sounds tailored for label boss Dubfire‘s DJ sets. The EP arrives just in time for Miami Music Week, where Macromism is slated for nine gigs that include high profile label showcases by Alleanza & Tronic and 1605 & Deeperfect.
