Mariah Carey’s Valentine’s Day release “You’re Mine” has just gotten a shelf-life extension by none other than Gergor Salto and Funkin Matt. While it’s hard to imagine a more sensual imagining of the songstress’ vocals, that’s just what the pair deliver with their drop and pop house rework. In their collaborative effort the slow jam gets knocked up a few notches, with a jangling melody and swinging snaps decorating what was otherwise a nearly naked voice. Flirting with sacrilege, the co-conspirators go so far as to alter the voice itself, using some choice editing on the post-chorus to turn “I” into a gasping hook that ties the tune together. A further assertion that the dance world is ready to progress past progressive, the “Your Mine” remix will hit shelves just after Miami Music Week.
