Martin Garrix & Jay Hardway – Wizard (The Remixes)
Martin Garrix tapped fellow rising talent Jay Hardway to jump on the follow-up single to 2013’s EDM anthem “Animals.” It only seems appropriate that the “Wizard” remix package feature a roster of diverse up-and-comers to push their music to another level. The release begins with the infectiously deep grooves and vibes of French phenom Tchami, moving forward with young Dane Mike Hawkins’ fierce electro and surprising moombahton hybrid. At halfway, Garrix and Hardway bring it back to their homeland to finish off the remixing duties. Trap powerhouse trio Yellow Claw alters the tracks speed for what they do best, while the promising Tom & Jame lay down their own gritty electro spin. As a rather necessary remix package from Spinnin’ Records, this collection does a fine job showcasing some of today’s impressive next-generation talents.
