Update: Avicii to have gallbladder removed

After Avicii cancelled his own Avicii Hotel set and then Ultra performance for medical reasons, rumors swirled as to what caused the super star’s hospitalization. Thanks to Twitter, the world now knows. In a series of tweets, Tim Bergling announced that stomach pains sent him to the hospital upon arrival in Miami, and back again Thursday night. The DJ will have gall bladder surgery tomorrow, preventing him from performing at Ultra, but he assured fans it was a routine procedure and he fully expected to recover in time for his US True Tour. Though he and the tricks that were guaranteed to be up his sleeve will be sorely missed, Ultra attendees have no less than deadmau5 to look forward to as his replacement.
