3LAU – Bang (Tiësto Bootleg)
Today 3LAU finds himself far beyond the mashup days when he first began refining his DJ and producing roots, initially tastefully piecing together components of smash hit tracks in the confines of his college dorm room as a passion project. Paying homage to his foundations with evidence of his rapid success, Justin Blau now pays a nostalgic ode to his roots by reworking a past original in collaboration with legend and mentor, Tiësto. Tiësto’s bootleg of “Bang” infuses an old sample favorite — the familiar acapella chorus line of The Bloodhound Gang’s “Bad Touch” — an instrumental soundscape from Blau, and added layers of Tiësto’s choice.
