Conceptualized through a mutual desire to create something outside the current big room mold, 3LAU and Botnek have previewed their impending release on Dim Mak. The collaboration immediately stands out, as orchestral style chords and a light synth dominate the breakdown and build-up. As the forthcoming release boils over, Botnek showcase their talents with a dark and gritty onslaught that heavily contrasts the melodic tone of the buildup. With support from Skrillex, Sander van Doorn, and Borgore among others, “Vikings” will be one of the spring’s more unique releases and should continue to be heard in a vast variety of sets.
