Diplo and Deadmau5 to replace Avicii’s Encore Vegas performances
Those with hopes to escape to Las Vegas for a poolside drink while listening to “Hey Brother” or “Wake Me Up” may be disappointed as Avicii remains in recovery from his recent gall bladder surgery, but have no fear – worthy replacements have already been commissioned.
A few days prior, the Swedish producer announced that his April tour dates would be postponed due to post-operation recovery and “strict doctor’s orders.” While his rescheduled Las Vegas performances remain unannounced, his April slots at Encore Beach Club will receive two upstanding replacements to fill his vacant spots. For his April 19th show, before his evening performance at Surrender that night, Diplo will take on a double shift at the day club in the morning. For the April 26th performance, Deadmau5 will pick up the slot, making this his second save after his controversial Ultra set that replaced Avicii’s slated Miami spotlight.
