Pretty Lights announces back-to-back nights at Red Rocks
For the fifth consecutive year, Pretty Lights returns to Colorado’s Red Rocks in early August at the tail end of a summer tour spent at the nation’s biggest festivals. This year Derek Vincent Smith will be bringing along the full Pretty Lights band, including 13 members of the Colorado Symphony and a handful of special guests.
“New life will be brought into the new music, I’ve been working on and my older work via remixing, via The Analog Future Band, and via the sounds of live symphonic composition in the most acoustically beautiful venue anywhere. Red Rocks is such a powerful and beautiful place. I have a profound respect for the honor that it is to perform there.”
A sold out event every year since it’s inception, Derek Vincent Smith’s yearly pilgrimage to Red Rocks comes at the same time that the venue is facing criticism from local residents tired of the venue’s incessant bass but, despite a slightly lower volume, Pretty Lights at Red Rocks still remains one of the summer’s must-attend events.
