For all their years mercilessly pursuing the beat, Chocolate Puma entered 2014 with more studio collateral than ever before in their 25-years of collaboration. Just a short breath after dropping “Step Back” for Mixmash and their celebrated remix of Janelle Monae’s “Dance Apocalyptic,” Rene and Gaston jump behind the wheel of recent Spinnin vocal stint “Revolution” to show just how audacious the scope of their remix duties has become. On paper, the duo’s raw grooves and rave-centric melodies would not be the obvious bedfellows for such an upfront big room offering, but in execution the globe fits with unprecedented ease. A marriage of meaty beats, expert bass execution and some of the sharpest keys on the market  further evidences the duo’s ongoing stamina, making the road to impending original material for Dim Mak all the more exciting for this game changing Dutch house duo and their irreplaceable sound.
