The brainchild of German production talent Tim Bernhardt and his friend Den Ishu, Satin Jackets have established themselves as tentpoles in the indie dance discussion. Furthering their influence in the lower BPM range, their latest groove-driven output comes in remix form, this time reworking Salt Ashes “Somebody.” The debut single from 22-year old Velga Sanchez, “Somebody” is defined by the Brit songbird’s evocative wails, vocals that are effortlessly juxtaposed by The Jackets lush padwork and tinsel-coated piano rolls. A summer sunset in sonic form, Satin Jackets once again deliver on their now patented indietronic tendencies.
