Though the art of turntablism has gone a bit underground with the popularity of digital production software, Prince William and Duchess Kate may have given it a small renaissance. A video of Wills and Kate having a go at scratching at a community music center in the Adelaide suburb of Elizabeth has emerged, along with the prince’s confession that he likes house music. While he may have lacked some finesse behind the decks, all involved hailed Kate as a natural, quickly finding the groove of the vinyl. With the lesson just a fraction of their royal duties while touring Australia and New Zealand, stay tuned to see if the photo op turns into a real passion.
