Just over a week since local officials overturned an EDM ban in Toronto’s Exhibition Place, the city will once again face scrutiny after 29 concertgoers were hospitalized at an Avicii show on Saturday night. Held at The Rogers Centre, the sold-out show was an all ages event with approximately 20,000 people packing the sold out venue. According to the Toronto Sun, one person was arrested and at least one other was treated for drug use, but the vast majority of those hospitalized were all due to varying degrees of alcohol consumption.
