Beats Music launches DJ residency series with D-Wayne

Initiating its DJ residency series, Beats Music taps Dutch house neophyte D-Wayne fresh off his appearance on Afrojack’s Forget The World debut. Kicking off his monthly showcasing with homage to his roots, D-Wayne pieces together the best of Dutch dance music from classics to modern hits, to some of 2014’s more popular tunes. Selections from Tiesto’s “Flight 643” and Hardwell-breakthrough “Zero 76” to Sidney Samson’s “Riverside” and Fedde Le Grand’s “Put Your Hands Up For Detroit” invoke a sense of nostalgia, while the hour-long session diversifies sounds with the different flavors and times of Dutch house.

“The Beats Music DJ Residency Program is an ongoing series to highlight and support rising new DJ talent. We kicked off the program with D-wayne who will be making monthly playlists for us. D-wayne is a very exciting new DJ/production talent who serves up a distinct musicial point of view. He has a bright future ahead of him and I’m thrilled that Beats Music can support his burgeoning talent via the DJ Residency Program.” – Arjan Writes, Head of Pop/Dance Programming at Beats
