South meets North on Justin Jay’s remix of Claude VonStroke’s “Sugar & Cinnamon.” Part of the hefty Urban Animals remix EP, the Los Angeles-based producer adds a deep house bounce to CVS’s sultry original. A collection of flighty pops and an elephant-dose of echo, Justin Jay’s rendition adds some much needed bump in the trunk of the San Franciscan’s original offering. As a newly initiated member of the Dirtybird crew, Jay wastes no time flexing his funk muscles on the EP, outshining many of the other remixers with an impressive ear for keeping things frisky and fluid.
