Diplo reaches one million Facebook followers, releases nine free bootlegs
One million people clicked the little thumb next to Diplo‘s name on Facebook, and as a result, we now have nine fresh edits and bootlegs by Mad Decent‘s head honcho. In a nod to loyal fans, the hardest working man in dance music showcases a handful of new tunes just as the summer begins to heat up, and each one of them is absolutely free of charge. Rounding up a diverse cast of collaborators, each track on the bootleg pack offers a different spin, all however saturated in the signature Diplo sound.
A tag team effort with ETC! ETC! called “Diplo’s Theme” brings a taste of the Diplo bravado we have all come to know well, matched with a bouncy twerk-primed beat. “Pretty With Her Eyes Low,” the latest collaboration with Grandtheft offers a heavy dose of trap music complete with swift hip-hop samples, sirens, hi hat rolls and jaw dropping low end bass. And what free edit pack would be complete without an “Express Yourself” bootleg? Party Favor‘s hypnotic remix of Diplo’s arena rattling hit offers a glitch-hop inspired rework with spastic sampling layered throughout.
