Moonrise Festival to make second attempt at Pimlico Race Course, Baltimore
When you fall, you have the choice of either remaining on the ground or picking yourself back up and trying again. That is the story of Moonrise Festival, whose inaugural event was cancelled one year ago due to the lack of required permits to put on an event of its size.
This year, however, the event promoters behind the two-day festival – Steez Promo and Glow Washington DC – vowed to have taken all necessary precautions to ensure the following through of Moonrise Festival. Scheduled to take place at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, the event will host four stages and will feature a lineup far more diverse than any prior Glow or Steez Promo show. While their specialty is electronic dance music, the two companies have invited a multitude of other genres to join in on the action to bring the mid-Atlantic a dynamic festival experience unlike anything it has seen in the past.
Moonrise Festival’s lineup will be released in phases, with the first round of artists to be announced in early June. Early bird tickets will go live this Friday at noon via Moonrise’s website.
