Oliver Heldens ‘Gecko’ gets vocals from Becky Hill, now known as ‘Overdrive’

Oliver Heldens struck something special with “Gecko,” finding that intersection between the growing deep house preference while maintaining melody enough to keep a more general audience listening. Now, “Gecko” is breaking another barrier. Yes, the deep house track of the season has a radio edit. Although previously unlikely, the timing couldn’t be better. Help comes in from Becky Hill, who laces the entire track with a timeless vocal, one appropriate for traditional house but transcendent through pop culture.
