Los Angeles duo and #FreeLife proponents, Bixel Boys, follow up their Bring it On EP, with another cutting edge offering dubbed Empire. The title track on the two-cut extended play finds the pair dabbling deep in the techno arena, merging industrial grit and driving rhythms with tastefully prepared electro flair. Like two mad alchemists, the Bixels continue to blur lines and scoff at genre distinctions, leaving little room for pigeonholing and plenty of space for quality music.
