French electro phenom, Surkin breaks his recent production silence, remixing Gorgon City’s nearly perfect “Here for You.” The UK duo’s latest garage-pop hit has already seen it’s fair share of remixes, from Bingo Players to Deetron, but Surkin set himself apart from the pack, and the original itself. Staying true to his unusual sound design, he strips out any resemblance of the original’s instrumental and replaces it with a muscular synth lead and bulbous sub bass. Laura Walsh’s infectious top line serves to soften up the macabre underpinnings, presenting herself as the siren in Surkin’s growling serenade.
