David Heartbreak – Rebel (Trollphace Remix)
Established OWSLA talent David Heartbreak is celebrating the drop of his War of the Roses EP today, featuring his future-dub sound on tunes like “Rebel.” Heartbreak may not be a new name to some, however rising LA-bred producer Trollphace probably is, and he is giving “Rebel” a run for its money with an absolutely jaw-dropping remix effort.
The emerging dubstep producer is becoming a true success story as he continues to showcase his abilities with head-spinning material such as this. Incorporating a hard-knocking dose of bass into a tune that holds true to its reggae-dub roots, Trollphace introduces Heartbreak’s jam to a throbbing synth arrangement and the addition of a few fresh vocal cuts. OWSLA head Skrillex has been working this one-two punch into sets as of recently, testing out the rework on massive crowds. Released alongside the original, an AC Slater remix and the EP’s title track itself, David Heartbreak’s “Rebel” rework is available now.
