
iHeartRadio reaches 50 million registered users
Clear Channel Media & Entertainment’s online radio platform iHeartRadio has just reached 50 million registered users. According to a company statement, they have reached this milestone faster than both Facebook and Twitter. iHeartRadio launched its beta app in September 2011 and has only taken 33 months to gain a widespread user base. Clear Channel has also added iHeartRadio onto new devices such as Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Gear 2, and Apple’s CarPlay automotive initiative. Clear Channel claims to have 245 million listeners in the US each month and says the app has been download 345 million times.
