Insomniac announces EDC Curated, a behind-the-scenes look at EDC Las Vegas
With Insomniac, it is best to expect the unexpected. As the flagship event of the year inches closer with every minute, Pasquale Rotella took to his personal Instagram to simultaneously denounce whispers of Insomniac introducing a live streaming element to Electric Daisy Carnival and instead, announced the reveal of the exclusive premiere broadcast of EDC Curated.
After first explaining his concerns regarding the disruptive nature of live streaming the three-day massive (“It dilutes the experience and gives a false perception that you’ve ‘been there, done that.'”), Rotella illuminated on the idea behind EDC Curated. Rather than a live stream consisting of the expected sweeping crowd shots and DJ zoom-ins, this year’s Las Vegas edition of EDC will showcase the stories of the people behind-the-scenes who breathe life into the show’s elaborate costumes, spectacular characters, and even the brains and brawns behind each stage’s set up. Following in the footsteps of last year’s filming of Under the Electric Sky, EDC Curated aims to deliver an introspective documentary-style perspective into the behind-the-scenes world of Electric Daisy Carnival.
EDC Curated will broadcast all three days of the festival from 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM PST. Stay tuned for more details.
