New Orleans’ Voodoo festival announces astounding 2014 lineup
New Orleans’ annual Halloween music festival event, Voodoo Music + Art Experience is returning in 2014 with one of its most impressive lineups in the veteran festival’s 15 year run. Spanning from October 31st through November 2nd, the festival is marked by a rich sonic diversity that will surely deliver an incredibly immersive experience in one of the country’s most out-of-bounds cities. The newly announced roster boasts a mixed bag of talent, including headlining slots by Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters, world conquering OWSLA-naut Skrillex, Zedd, Pretty Lights, The Arctic Monkeys, and of course, what festival would be complete this year without seasoned southern rap sensations Outkast.
This go-round is the first year with entertainment powerhouse Live Nation at the helm, and the lineup is certainly reflecting a change in management, rounding together an extraordinary assortment of acts from across the spectrum. The likes of Fredde Le Grand, Lindsay Lowend, Flux Pavillion, Galantis, and everyone’s favorite taste maker Pete Tong, will be sharing festival duties with names such as Action Bronson, New Orleans native twerk guru Big Freedia, Jared Leto’s Thirty Seconds to Mars, along with Claude Vonstroke, Tomas Gold and countless more in between. Gary Richards famed LA-based HARD imprint will also be hosting its own stage during the festival which will surely include some of the lineup’s most anticipated electronic acts, as HARD continues to expand astronomically.
On June 27th, the festival will roll out a handful of ticket options, ranging from incredibly affordable 3-day general admission packages to out-of-sight VIP experiences and camping options. As festival season rockets through the summer and eager festival goers begin to plan for the autumn months, Voodoo should not be overlooked, as it will surely assert itself again as one of the most colorful festivals in the country.
