SFX signs 5-year sponsorship deal with viagogo

SFX‘s campaign towards live event dominance continues with its most recent move: a five-year, $75 million sponsorship deal with the globe’s largest online ticket marketplace, viagogo. The partnership will allow SFX a more efficient and secure ticketing platform for its events – from small-scale parties to some of the world’s most prominent festivals – on a global scale. Now deemed SFX’s official resale ticketing partner for the next five years, viagogo will be the go-to source for all resale tickets to SFX-related events, including when they are sold out at the box office. Though the site is available in more than 100 countries for individuals to buy and sell tickets to live events, the platform will continue to expand as it strives to meet SFX’s philosophy as a worldwide brand.

Robert F.X. Sillerman states, “This sponsorship will provide fans with a range of ticket options, no matter where they are in the world, what language they speak, or what currency they want to use.  Every transaction is guaranteed by viagogo, and that is the assurance we require to provide our fans with flawless service, regardless of where they acquire their tickets.”

As fans’ desire to attend festivals far and wide continues to grow stronger, the deal is meant to give people the opportunity of reselling their tickets on a more platform more focused than eBay or Craigslist. viagogo’s position within the global network will help facilitate the ease of buying and selling tickets, providing customer support in a multitude of languages and a variety of currency and delivery options. Not only is the collaboration geared toward higher quality customer service, but also toward the continual dispersion of both companies as global leaders within the electronic music domain.
