Apparat – Arcadia (Boys Noize Reprise)
Alex Ridha, best known by his world-dominating moniker Boys Noize, has delivered another masterful remix, this time of fellow German veteran producer Apparat‘s “Arcadia.” The original tune features a soothing drum rhythm and light vocal work delicately sprinkled throughout the song. Apparat’s rendition is dark and melodic, and although Boys Noize impressively incorporates a lot of the original’s appeal, he creatively breathes new life into the 2007 single.
Boys Noize adds his own bopping, funky element to “Arcadia” swapping out cooling vocal work for whirling synth arrangements and replacing Apparat’s ambient sound design for a hard techno backbone in this long-form rework. With a brand new remix available, as well as an upcoming fall tour alongside Baauer, it looks as though Boys Noize is heating up and hopefully the best is yet to come.
