The impossibly cool Claude VonStroke follows up his recent collaboration with JAWS with a brand new EP and original Califuture. Due out on July 21st, the three-track EP features the title track “Califuture,” a funk-a-delic cocktail of tripped-out arps and a Barry Rift’s Cali-celebratory, spoken-word hook. Immediately following suit is “EYE I EYE,.” A sharp departure from the opening cut, the EP’s second slice of slick production work punches a bit less playfully than its predecessor, opting instead to thicken up the kicks and up-tick the grit for something a tad more menacing. The EP rounds itself out with a dub rendition of “Califuture,” adding just the right amount of bounce to land itself in club sets across the globe.
