Duke Dumont readies ‘Slow Dance’ for next chapter of ‘For Club Play Only’

2014 may have been the year that everyone and their cousin officially proclaimed their love of a certain Duke Dumont, but for the phenom’s latest preview he’s taking things to an earlier time. “Slow Dance” will be released on the forthcoming For Club Play Only Pt. 3, and if you wondered where parts 1 and 2 came from, the answer is 2012. Turbo Recordings was the first label to sign a Dumont original way back in 2007 and to this day continues to be a sort of home base for his distinct brand of bouncy house. It is there that Pt. 3 will join its predecessors and “Slow Dance” will continue a club-felling trend started by tracks like “Streetwalker” and “The Giver.” Heard in his “Future Stars of 2013” Essential Mix, the seductive track flips a distorted progression into a creeping piano line, keeping the title vocal on repeat while the beat picks up layers at leisure. Though no release date has been revealed, with “Won’t Look Back” just around the corner it looks like this summer is providing a double dose of Duke Dumont.

Release Date: TBA
