Hudson Project forced to cancel final night’s performances due to inclement weather

This weekend’s inaugural Hudson Project in Saugerties, New York has just canceled its final night due to a series of storms set to hit Upstate New York this evening. After two successful days at its new home, festival organizers were forced to shut down this evening’s performances and urged all attendees to stay safe as the storms pass through the area. Organizers have also requested that any fans under the influence should remain inside of their cars and not drive drunk to exit the festival but rather seek shelter until they are sober and safe to travel.

Based on the recommendation from Ulster County and information from the National Weather Service concerning approaching storms in conjunction with the previous afternoon inclement weather, we have decided to cancel this evening’s performances.

This is a decision that we don’t take lightly, but our first priority is always the safety of our patrons, artists, and staff. We regret having to cancel any show, but safety always comes first.

Please return to your camp sites to pack up and depart the property as quickly as possible. You do not need to leave if you are not sober, we are not asking anyone to drive drunk. If you are unable to leave the venue for any reason, please stay in your vehicles until the storm passes or you can depart safely. Those who are not in the condition to drive may stay the night to sober up. We do not recommend driving if you are under the influence at all. Thanks for your cooperation.

Thank you all for an unforgettable weekend, we can’t wait to do it all again next year. Stay tuned for more information in the coming days.

IMPORTANT: If you are unable to leave the venue for any reason, please stay in your vehicles until the storm passes or you can depart safely. Those who are not in the condition to drive may stay the night to sober up. We do not recommend driving if you are under the influence at all. Thanks for your cooperation.
