Life In Color to host first-ever EDM halftime show at the International Champion’s Cup Final
The World Cup may be over and the last stragglers gone from Brazil, but the US has one more reason to care about soccer. The Guinness International Champion’s Cup kicks off tomorrow with eight of the world’s most elite teams facing each other at fields across North America, and the culmination of the 13-game tournament will be accompanied by an extra special halftime show. On August 4th, the semi-finalist teams will head to Miami’s Sunlife Stadium where none other than Martin Garrix will perform at the halfway mark. The young DJ is hosted by Life In Color, who promise a spectacle never before seen at a live American sporting event (though Beyonce may have upped the ante at last year’s Super Bowl). The first EDM company to put on a national televised halftime show, the paint party will leave its namesake at home but will be bringing its celebrated lasers, fireworks and projection mapped visuals, along with a surprise announcement. The game and performance will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1, but for those who like both their soccer and their EDM live, tickets for the final are available here.
