Red Cross comes to aid of stranded Hudson Project attendees

Nearly 16 hours after The Hudson Project canceled its final night due to severe storms, attendees still found themselves stranded in the campground. Many campers were unable to drive their cars out of the thick mud left behind from the massive storm system. In response to the stranded festival-goers, the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the American Red Cross opened a shelter at the Kiwanis Ice Arena where snacks and water were distributed to those stranded in camp ground.

The Red Cross anticipates this to be a 24-hour shelter operation while police work to tow the cars out.
