S-Man ft. GTO – 2 Close (Original Mix) [Preview]
Since debuting on Hard Times in 1994, Roger Sanchez’s S Man moniker has become a reliable outlet for the New York kingpin capable of holding the fort more than a decade down the line. Whilst his Release Yourself imprint mustered numerous luminary moments for the global house circuit at its peak, 2014 ushered the return of Sanchez’s ‘other side’ – one in tune with the shifting tides of a genre to which the long serving producer has committed no shortage of landmarks to. “2 Close” marks the second single to emerge from his UNDR THE RADR imprint, picking up where “Dangerous Thoughts” left off to spotlight the deeper, darker and more docile side of Sanchez’s practiced house etiquette. GTO remains the ever reliable mouthpiece behind Sanchez’s modern get-up, complimenting the track to show just how far a little can go when accompanied by well-oiled club schematics. Remixes from Leftwing & Kody and Jimpster are still to show their faces, but if the original cut is to be taken as gospel, there is at least one old timer left on the beat capable of holding the fort for the timeless sound.
